Introduction To The Noahide Accord

Unfortunately, many people are not aware that there were "laws" or "instructions" given to mankind way

before there was Moses meeting G-d on top of Mt. Sinai. Let's take a quick look at what Adam and Eve

knew. They were told not to eat from the Tree of Good and Evil, right? That would be an instruction from

G-d. Did you ever wonder how Cain knew that murdering his brother was bad? God asked Cain when

Abel died, "where is your brother?" Cain already knew what he did was wrong, "am I my brother's

keeper?" he said in defense.  Us humans have known for thousands of years of God's instructions (in our

hearts) but we have only looked to the Jewish Laws, the Ten Commandments. Never did gentiles accept

these laws nor the Oral Laws that were taught as Mt. Sinai. It was the Israelites who agreed to accept these

laws/instructions...no other nation accepted them. So, where do gentiles fit in? Gentiles fit in with the 7

Laws of Noah which are very similar to the 10 Commandments. These Laws/instructions were and still

are valid for today. Let's look at the 7 Laws of Noah in its basic context.

1. Do not murder.

2. Do not steal.

3. Do not worship false gods.

4. Do not be sexually immoral.

5. Do not eat a limb from a live animal.

6. Do not curse God.

7. Set up courts and bring offenders to justice.

Another important note: As it says in the list, "do not worship false gods".

What does this mean?

Does it mean don't worship trees or stars or planets or animals?

Yeah, that's right. But it also means not to worship a man. God has told us in the Tanakh (Jewish

Bible) that there is no other God but Him. No other. No one is like him. (Isaiah). It also says in

Psalms 146:3 "Do not trust in princes, in the son of man, who has no salvation."

As gentiles (or Jews), we look to God for our salvation. We look to God to forgive us and He does \

when we

come to Him in complete remorse and ask Him to forgive us. We never have needed and do not need a

"middle man".

What is the word HaShem? If you hear or read this word and wonder...it means "The Name" (God) and

it is used a lot instead of God in Jewish circles.

I hope that you will like this page and keep coming back because I have a lot to share about what it

means to be a Noahide, a Righteous Gentile. I pray that your journey into becoming a Noahide or

being a Noahide will be a pleasant experience. I may tell my story in another article about how I, a

gentile, came to Judaism and what transpired for me.
